Dawn of War IV Coming Next Year!

  Gamescom's Opening Night Live had a whole bunch of announcements to make, but there was definitely an unexpected few among them.  One of those few was the surprise announcement that. hot off the heels of Relic Entertainment releasing a remastered version of the original Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War  and all of it's expansions, We are in fact getting a new entry in the series after 9 years.  Almost a decade after the lackluster reception of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III  seemed like it may have prematurely ended the series, Iron Harvest  developer KING Art Games has announced they are the developers of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV .   KING Art Games has said that while they want to take good elements from both of the first two games, the original game is their "Guiding Star" in terms of how they want to approach this title.  Here's what we know about it so far: 4 unique factions at launch- Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and the compl...

Censorship: Collectively Telling Shout to Go Away

 If there's one thing people who play games, people who read book, or, well, people who do almost anything hate, it's censorship.  That idea that someone else can tell you what you can or can't play or read something tends to not go over well.  Enter the group Collective Shout: an Australian "activist" group formed by Melissa Tankard Reist.  Melissa being a pro-life, anti-porn activist, it was only a matter of time before she and her group eventually came after video games like they have this year. Not long ago now, Collective Shout decried that game stores were selling games that encouraged violence and/or were sexually explicit.  While some games that have made it to the stores, like the ever baffling No Mercy (one wonders how that even passed a sniff test, given its content), definitely needed to be reviewed and taken off the storefronts, Collective Shout wasn't happy with just removing the actually weird games.  They sensed blood in the water, and they ...
